U.S. Shipping Update

U.S. Shipping, Tariffs & Duties Update

Last updated: August 26, 2025

Shipping to the U.S. has recently become more complicated due to frequent trade and tariff changes. We want to be transparent so you know exactly what to expect when placing an order.

Temporary Pause on All U.S. Orders

In preparation for the U.S. suspension of the de minimis exemption:

  • We will stop accepting all U.S. orders at the end of the day on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
  • Between now and August 29, duties shown at checkout may be miscalculated, since shipments might not clear the U.S. Customs before the new rules take effect.
  • Eligible items will return to the site for U.S. ordering on Friday, August 29, 2025, once systems and carriers reflect the new requirements.

This step is necessary to avoid confusion and protect customers from being charged incorrectly.

De Minimis Suspension – Small Parcels

  • Until now, shipments under $800 could usually enter the U.S. duty-free.
  • Effective August 29, 2025, the U.S. is suspending the de minimis exemption for all countries.
  • That means all shipments, regardless of value, will be subject to duties, taxes, and clearance requirements.

This makes even small e-commerce parcels subject to full customs processing.

Recent U.S. Trade & Tariff Changes

Section 232 – Steel & Aluminum

  • As of June 2025, the U.S. increased tariffs on certain steel and aluminum products to 50%.
  • The scope of products covered expanded further on August 18, 2025.
  • These rules apply in addition to any existing tariff schedules.

Because of this, we have temporarily stopped accepting U.S. orders that include items covered under Section 232 tariffs. Restricted products are flagged and cannot be ordered for U.S. delivery.

We're working with suppliers to collect the compliance documents (e.g., proof of where metals are melted, poured, or cast). Once this process is complete, we'll be able to resume shipping some of these items — but it will be brand-by-brand and may take time.

What This Means for You

  • All U.S. orders are paused after Aug 26 until systems update on Aug 29.
  • Some items remain restricted: Products falling under Section 232 tariffs (mainly steel and aluminum) will continue to be unavailable for U.S. delivery.
  • Duties and tariffs are billed upfront: All applicable import duties and taxes are calculated during checkout once U.S. systems update on Aug 29.
  • No surprise charges at delivery: Carriers will not bill you later — everything is settled at checkout.
  • Possible delays: Customs processing times in the U.S. may add a few extra days.

We know this is inconvenient, and we’re truly sorry for the disruption. These steps are necessary to protect our U.S. customers from surprise costs, delays, or seized shipments.

Our goal is to restore full U.S. shipping as soon as possible in a transparent and reliable way. We appreciate your patience and support while we work through these changes.
